All of a sudden you’re lost inside a blissful cocoon of disorienting, fuzzy and rattling guitars, feeling like you’re in some Vincent Gallo movie shot with a 16 mm camera while you’re moving in slow-motion with the world spinning around you. Then you realise you’re just listening to the new single ‘Sunday TV’ from Finland’s Black Twig.
This is the second single to be released from their forthcoming third album, which will be out in April on Soliti. Entitled Blaze On a Plain it’s a reference to the place where the album was recorded, Roihupelto and Roihuvuori in Helsinki.
Earlier today the band released the new video for ‘Sunday TV’, which was made by Appu Jasu. This is what the band themselves had to say about the new single:
“We hadn’t made a traditional ”band playing a song” type of music video before, so this is our first take on that. It’s shot in the center of our hometown Helsinki, in an empty building built in the early 1900’s. The song, Sunday TV, is the last track off our upcoming album, Blaze on a Plain. “
