The other day while waiting around in a lobby I was engaging in the usual weather small talk with an old man sitting beside me on the couch. I was told that – because there was no summer this year – there can be no Autumn.
Well, let me tell you something I should have told him as well; AUTUMN IS HERE! In all its back to school scented glory and leaf falling graze, it has finally arrived. So let’s forget about climate change and how the world is going to hell and just pretend it’s sweater weather. OK?
Now, I know there’s a lot of you out there who would like to deny the fact that summer’s gone and would much rather sit in the limited golden September sunshine and reminisce about July. I get that. I too to like to fantasize.
But if I may, I would just like to say on behalf of my favourite time of the year, look at all those beautiful changing colours! Smell that air! Enjoy zero mosquito bites! Embrace the dark nights and listen to as much music you can. I already made a playlist for you.
