Tinyhawk & Bizzarro have already carved out their place in Finnish music history. The experimental instrumental rock group has had a huge breakthrough since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Nekorok in August of 2023. The band also took home the Teosto Prize in April, one of the biggest art prizes in the Nordic countries.

Guitarist and primary songwriter, Jenni Kinnunen, creates magical guitar worlds filled with whimsy and drama. The band also includes second guitarist Markus Väisänen, drummer Jaakko Pöyhönen, bassist Teemu Aho, and keyboardist Juuso Kolho.

It was no secret that Kinnunen, also known from the Finnish group Rosita Luu, is a phenomenal guitarist. But on Nekorok, she proves that she is an amazing songwriter as well. Kinnunen skillfully incorporates a wide range of influences and genres in her music, including psychedelia, surf, desert blues, and Japanese electronic rock. The result is a unique and fresh new sound, with a modern yet traditional touch.
