This song by Finnish folk outfit Is This Really Me came out ages ago but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t stop what you’re doing right now and listen to it.
There is something so pure about ITRM’s sound, and not in a ‘we mixed this using super expensive equipment’-kind of way. It’s more of a side product of the straight ahead approach to melody, arrangements and the somber segways between moments wherein nothing much really happens and entire worlds are created.
